Arend & Fischbach started building energy-efficient eco-houses well before the construction industry tagged on to this new eco-trend. The Group was one of the pioneers of low-energy and passive housing in Luxembourg, completing the country’s first certified passive house in 2000 and winning the FEDIL environmental award in 2003. Its new “massive passive” concept is a further, challenging step forward, involving the construction of passive eco-houses made entirely of wood. The healthier and more natural materials used make the houses more sustainable and more energy-efficient.
